I'm super excited about this one. After Thailand I really do feel like I'm in a good place, I learnt a lot about myself over there and how I work, how I draw and importantly all the things that I can actually draw. With a new found love of architecture, I feel as though my project could be really interesting. I don't know if I've mentioned it but I'm going to use Thailand as my inspiration for this project. I'd love to do something more than a wallpaper, something changable maybe? Or just something that can divide a large space room? I'm not sure. My favourite thing that I thought of was a rotating structure, made up of a number of floor-to-ceiling high, triangular prisms, with 3 different papers surrounding them. So that you could change the pattern frequently to fit the mood, or have a mish-mash of designs, maybe for those who aren't organised and perfect like a repeat pattern, but a little all over the place and patchwork-like (i.e., me). something like this:
So it could be -
A A A A A A
A A A A A A
A A A A A A
A A A A A A
or
B B B B B B
B B B B B B
B B B B B B
B B B B B B
or
A B C A B C
A B C A B C
A B C A B C
A B C A B C
or even
C C A B A C
C C A B A C
C C A B A C
C C A B A C
I also really like the idea of using a lot more collage in my sketchbook this time, I'm not sure why I just... Think it would fit? I don't know, we'll see... I'd like to keep my drawings quite figurative though I think, show of what I can do. Should I look at soft furnishings too? Reversible covers maybe? How do you give more then two options/sides? Let's find out...
